It’s time for us to bid farewell – it’s been a wonderful journey – thank you for your unconditional support.  Our overarching objective for 2015-16 has been to reach out to more and more Telugu people living in and around Melbourne.  As you have indicated and demonstrated to us, we have done extremely well in popularising TAAI in our community during our term.  The interest in our organisation has never been more so than it is now.  We are confident that it will grow more in the coming years.  The potential for this organisation is immense to become bigger in every respect which will in turn help bring more benefits to our society.

We take pride in our achievements.  As you can appreciate it’s not easy for a volunteer organisation to conduct activities with a budget of more than $100,000.   We have not only managed to generate the needed funding but also ensured that there was a surplus in the end.  Our activities included awareness workshops, fund raising events, blood donation camps, creating and enhancing tools for organisation development, sports, our flagship event Janaranjani and Rasa Raga Sudha featuring inaugural Telugu Voice of Australia.

We have completed the transition process by conducting a successful AGM where the members elected a new committee.  We performed a SWOT analysis at the AGM to take stock of where TAAI is today and what it can be in the future.  The findings of our analysis will be passed on to the next committee. We’ve increased membership base, managed surplus funds and leaving the organisation in a great shape for the incoming committee to get started from the word go.

We wish the new committee all the best for a successful 2016-17.  Please join us in congratulating and welcoming the new committee that was elected unanimously at the AGM on 10th July.
